“The Biz Coach” to Speak at Chamber Leadership Breakfast - Terry
Corbell, better known as “The Biz Coach” will address Lake Stevens business
and community leaders at the Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce's 9th
annual leadership breakfast, set for Tuesday, April 29th, from 7:00 a.m.
until 8:30 a.m. at the Lake Stevens School District
Educational Service Center, 12309 22nd Street NE, Downtown Lake Stevens.
With more than 30 years experience, Terry speaks and writes with authority
as an Internet columnist and business-performance consultant. By
understanding human nature, he provides an analytical approach in fact-based
solutions in easy-to-understand terms.
Known in the Northwest as The Biz Coach, he has written hundreds of
business-coaching columns for Internet sites since 2001. Topics include
solutions for taxes and finance, marketing, human resources and career
development, and technology.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for Chamber members to network with
other business and government leaders at the community, county and state
level. The meeting is open to interested business people in our area.

Mary Ludden, PHR – “HR Laws in Washington – A Legislative Update”

Mary will also discuss the 2008 legislative session as it relates to HR. Get
an update on changes in Labor and Employment, Workers Comp, Unemployment,
and Health Care. You will learn which bills passed and which ones did not.

About the Presenter: Mary currently serves as the SHRM Washington State
Council's Co-Legislative Director. She is also employed as the Human
Resource Manager for Contour Aerospace overseeing HR operations in both
their WA and CA locations. Mary has experience in a variety of industries
including public and private, union and non-union environments.
