NBIS’ Business Leaders Forum on March 6th ~ I would like to invite you to attend NBIS’ Business Leaders Forum on March 6th on Business Partnerships for Puget Sound . This event recognizes the first Washington State Salmon-Safe certifications through NBIS’ Salmon-Safe Corporate and Institutional Outreach Initiative. These include the University of Washington-Bothell/Cascadia Community College campus, the Port of Seattle Parks, and the Washington Department of Ecology campus in Lacey.

The program will provide valuable information about salmon-safe best practices, the science of urban impacts on our watersheds, innovative landscaping and green building technologies to reduce impacts, and resources available to assist businesses and communities.

We believe that Salmon-Safe offers a great incentive, as well as concrete support, for urban landowners in helping to meet the goals of the Puget Sound Partnership. This event will be of interest to business community, municipal leaders and all who are working to preserve Puget Sound and the aquatic habitats of our watersheds. The event flyer is below and additional information about Salmon-Safe can be found at our website: www.nbis.org/1salmon.htm
