Business Expo

It appears that everyone is again looking forward to our 3rd annual "Showcase Lake Stevens" business expo on April 12th. I have had many questions in the past week on this topic. I just want to let the members know that we are working out a few of the details and then I will send out an announcement with complete information on the event and how to make your reservations.

Look for information on our special head-line guest in next week's news brief!

Business Services Available from Library

We had an educational mixer at the Lake Stevens Library last night. The Library has many useful materials available to businesses. Click on the following link to visit the business section of their website:

http://www.sno-isle.org/page/?ID=1246

You can do in-depth research on many topics, such as management issues, business theories and practices, business plans, financial information and much more. You can also ask questions of a librarian via email or live chat, all from the comfort of your office. If you prefer the personal touch, visit the Lake Stevens library and the helpful staff will be happy to answer your questions. The library carries online issues of many magazine subscriptions and other publications as well.

The one thing you need to access some of the info is a library card, which can also be applied for online at https://www.sno-isle.org/applications/card_application/current/. I encourage you to take advantage of these free resources to help grow your business.

Educational Business Events and Classes

The Women's Business Centers (Assisting Women and Men of All Races, Orientations, and Backgrounds to be Successful in Business) are offering educational classes and seminars for small businesses, including "business planning basics" and "million dollar marketing secrets". Check out their website for more information: http://www.seattleccd.com/wbcmain/.
